Jurassic Isle of Exo/Home

Quick summary

Buy The Isle on Steam, launch into the Evrima branch, search for "Jurassic Isle of Exo" in the in-game server browser, register on Discord with /register, spawn. Detailed walkthrough below.

  1. 01

    Own The Isle on Steam

The Isle is a paid Early Access title on Steam (App ID 376210). Buy it from the Steam store and install it. The base game includes both legacy and Evrima branches — you do not need to buy them separately.

  2. 02

    Switch to the Evrima branch

Launch The Isle from your Steam library. From the main menu, select the EVRIMA option (it is highlighted at the top). The game will load the Evrima build. The legacy build is still selectable but is no longer updated.

  3. 03

    Open the server browser

On the Evrima main menu, click Play, then Multiplayer, then Server Browser. The list will populate with active community servers. Filter or sort by ping if you want to narrow it down to your region.

  4. 04

    Find Jurassic Isle of Exo

Type 'Jurassic Isle of Exo' into the search field at the top of the server browser. Our server should appear within a few seconds. Double-click to connect. The server is in North America (NA-West, Las Vegas) and accepts players from any region; expect 30–80 ms ping from continental North America.

  5. 05

Read the rules on first join

When you spawn in, the rules summary appears in chat and on the website at /rules. Connecting to the server counts as agreement to the rules. The TL;DR: no same-species killing (kill 4 of your own species and you're marked a cannibal with a bounty on your head), no apex/apex mixpacking, and act in good faith — moderators review reports daily.

  6. 06

    Register on Discord

All of the modded features — persistent dino storage, the skin lab, the auction house, Patreon perks, daily rewards — are tied to your Discord account. Join our Discord server (link below), run /register and enter your in-game Steam ID. The bot verifies the link and your account is active immediately. You can still play without registering, but you will miss every modded feature.

  7. 07

    Spawn your first dino

In-game, the species selector shows every species you have unlocked. Beginners should start with a herbivore like Dryosaurus or Hypsilophodon — they grow fast, are agile enough to escape most predators, and teach you the map. See the Beginner Guide for a smooth first hour.
